Valentine's is around the corner! Are you buying Valentine cards for the kids this year? Probably not. Are you going to eat out at a fancy restaurant and have a romantic dinner? Maybe, maybe not. So this year, bring the cards and dinner into your homes and end the evening with a movie about love and friendship. Prior to February 14th, have the whole family make their own valentine cards. Plan your 3-course meal ahead of time, whether it's cooking together or picking up food from a favorite restaurant. On Valentine's Day, set up a nice dinner, maybe add flowers and candles, and enjoy your meal. Afterwards, have everyone exchange their home-made cards, some chocolaty treats, and tell each other why you love them, why you are proud of them, and what makes them special. To end the evening, pop some popcorn and choose a movie with a love and/or friendship theme that your whole family can enjoy together.
